The breeding life of the females can last for 20 years. Males reach the breeding age at 3 years. Only sound and healthy individuals with excellent conformation are aloowed to take part in the breeding program in order to improve the breed.

The females are ready to breed at the age of 14-18 months and can give birth to one cria per year. Females do not have heating and can be bred anytime.
